Op vrijdag 7 april gonst het in De Oosterpoort in Groningen van de natuurkundige activiteit tijdens het congres FYSICA 2017, www.fysica.nl. Alle fysici, van student tot professor, van docent tot onderzoeker, werkzaam in de industrie of bij de overheid, hbo of universiteit, worden van harte uitgenodigd deze dag mee te maken. FYSICA is een unieke gelegenheid om fysici van diverse pluimage te ontmoeten en te netwerken.
FYSICA is het jaarlijkse natuurkunde-evenement van de Nederlandse Natuurkundige Vereniging, dit jaar georganiseerd i.s.m. de RUG. Een prachtig programma is samengesteld:
Nobelprijswinnaar Ben Feringa spreekt over moleculaire motoren, Physicaprijswinnaar Jo van den Brand praat het publiek bij over gravitatiegolven. Ook jonge fysici krijgen de mogelijkheid om een plenair verhaal te houden, nl. tijdens de Young Speakers Contest.
Gedurende de middag bestaat de mogelijkheid om te kiezen uit sessies met verschillende natuurkundige invalshoeken: Biologie, Gezondheid, Energie, Kosmologie, Educatie en een Carrièresessie die wordt georganiseerd door studieverenigingen FMF en Prof. Francken. Op de FYSICA-markt presenteren diverse instituten en bedrijven zich.

This conference offers a unique opportunity to meet and network with all sorts of physicists.
FYSICA is the annual physics congress of the Netherlands’ Physical Society, this year organized in cooperation with the RUG. A splendid program has been composed:
Nobelprize Laureate Ben Feringa gives a lecture on molecular motors, Physicaprize Laureate Jo van den Brand presents new developments on gravitational waves. Young physicists/astronomers get the chance to give a plenary lecture in the Young Speakers Contest. In the afternoon the audience splits up and chooses for sessions with different physical lines of approach: Physics and Biology, Physics and Health, Physics and Energy, Physics and Cosmology, Physics and Education and Careers in Physics. This last session will be organized by the student unions FMF and Prof. Francken.
Several companies and institutes are present at the FYSICA-market.
